This time, the Colonia Okinawa Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Comprehensive Cooperative Association, which is a Japanese American agricultural cooperative in Bolivia”CAICOA representative of” visited and conducted an inspection aimed at introducing EF polymers.
Farmland in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where crops such as rice, soybeans, wheat, and corn are cultivated, has recently faced the issue of not being able to provide sufficient water to crops due to lack of water due to the effects of droughts. Summer temperatures are over 40 degrees, and depending on the region10 to 15% of farmlandThe soil is dry, and the situation where it is difficult for crops to grow continues.
EF Polymer was selected for the “Latin American and Japanese Community Cooperation Research Team” hosted by JICA this year, and the relationship with CAICO deepened when they traveled there in September. In the future, both companies will prepare to test introduce EF polymers on agricultural land in Bolivia and demonstrate their effectiveness in drought-stricken areas.
In the inspection carried out this time, there was an explanation of how polymers were applied to farmland and the effects obtained with the cooperation of farmers who have been using EF polymers since last year in Itoman City, Okinawa Prefecture. Farmers shared their feedback on the fact that sugarcane cultivation showed an advantage in stem tops and number of stems along the way, and there was a significant improvement in the initial germination rate in cabbage cultivation.
CAICO Association President Gushiken Masashi said, “I knew a little bit about polymers from the past, but since there were no organic ones, I never used them. We are convinced that EF Polymers will play an important role in our farmland.” It is stated.
