◼ ︎ What is IMPACT STARTUP SUMMIT?
In recent years, impact investment has been set as an important government policy, and momentum for creating impact in Japan is increasing. Following the “Core Policy 2023” announced by the Cabinet Office, comprehensive support measures for impact startups were also presented in the “New Capitalism Grand Design and Implementation Plan” in 2024/6.
In addition, the Japan Association of Corporate Executives and the New Public Service Federation and ISA have concluded a “partnership agreement for the realization of mutual aid capitalism,” and co-creation efforts between large companies and impact startups have progressed, and movements in creating impact in the government and business community are further accelerating.
ISA has built an impact startup ecosystem and has been working on activities since 2022 with the aim of realizing a sustainable society. The number of regular members has grown to about 6 times when it was launched, and support members such as 138 impact startup companies and 11 large domestic and international companies have received support. We are expanding our activities as we go.
“IMPACT STARTUP SUMMIT 2024,” which will be held for the first time this time, is an event that touches on the front lines of social impact and aims to create co-creation with participants. Through the co-creation of diverse participants that transcend the boundaries of industry, government, and academia, we will lead to a step that opens up a new impactful future.

◾️ About the Impact Startup Association
An impact startup refers to a corporate entity that aims to balance “solving social issues” and “sustainable growth.” ISA was established on 2022/10/14 with the aim of building an impact startup ecosystem and realizing a sustainable society.
In collaboration with government and finance officials, many startups have been created that have a positive impact to create a better society, and we aim to create an environment where they can grow continuously, and we are implementing activities based on the four pillars of “sharing,” “formation,” “proposals,” and “dissemination.” Currently, there are 138 impact startup companies that sympathize with the purpose of the association and work together as regular members, and 11 supporting members, including Japanese and foreign-affiliated companies, who agree with the purpose of the activity and support the expansion of the impact economy.
Going forward, we will continue to actively work on activities to “solve social issues” and realize a “sustainable society,” receiving support and cooperation from regular members and supporting members.
